RACING??

Hmm... Today is my birthday but this year, I really don't feel like celebrating it. Well... I may be getting older but I'm not that old yet, so why?

I went to church this morning and listened to the sermon shared by Pdt. Zakaria. He was sharing something about "Following Christ till the end of the race." He did mentioned some obstacles that may cause us not to stand (bertahan) till the end and one of them is "fikiran yang sia-sia" (unnecessary thoughts), which includes worrying about our problems too much till we forgot how great our God is that we (somehow) unintendedly made the problems greater than our God. Well... maybe I am having too much unneccesary thoughts. Don't worry, I'm not having serious stress at work or having problems at home. It's just that I need to release all my thoughts to God and let Him be in control.

Another thing he mentioned was anger! In Matthew 5: 22, it says, "...if you are angry with someone, you are subject to judgement!" Wow! Sounds scary cause everyone gets angry right? Just, don't start a fight with anyone cause it will surely cause regrets. As my friend K. Nad said, "Mengalah itu bukanlah bermaksud kita kalah." I like that quote.

Now, thinking it over, I guess my birthday isn't that bad after all. All I need to do is just to release my thoughts to the LORD and not let anger take control of my life. Anyway, my little was really excited to have a taste of that wonderful cheesecake my husband bought for me.
